Used Honda Jazz 2022 for Sale

During the final quarter of 2015 Honda released their latest edition of the Jazz as part of their current new car offensive. Honda has rebuilt every aspect of this vehicle. Its look are in keeping with the Honda Civic and the Jazz is an honest contender for the likes of the Ford Fiesta, the Mazda2 and the Skoda Fabia.

The Honda Jazz features a new 1.3 litre VTEC petrol engine and this is the only engine available at the moment. On offer in this is 102 PS and 123Nm of torque. This power is aided by Honda’s new 6-speed manual gearbox. Also available is a 7-speed automatic CVT transmission – which unfortunately isn’t flawless. It has a tendency to hold onto the gears for too long and it doesn’t make its way through them when they should. The 0-100 km/h figure with the automatic gearbox is 12 seconds. The very smooth manual transmission offers 0-100 km/h in 11.2 seconds. The Honda engine is sweet but it could do with a bit more on the torque front. This is not a design flaw though. The VTEC engine offers economy in place of performance.

The Jazz deals well with minor road imperfections very well. It soaks up bumps and potholes without a problem. The suspension is responsive yet unobtrusive on passenger comfort. The steering is sharp and confident, and cornering is done easily in this vehicle. The Honda Jazz tackles twists and turns of our B roads easily too.

The Honda Jazz isn’t as fun as the Fiesta or indeed the Skoda Fabia but it’s certainly not far off. It does very well when it comes to refinement though. The car is well insulated from road and wind noise.

Honda owners are big fans of what the manufacturer calls “magic seats”. This is a handy system that allows maximum movability from the seats. They can be moved about to allow ease of access for different sized luggage – for example, move the seats around and you could probably fit a surf board in there. The dash is nicely styled and the instrument cluster is presented well. The infotainment system can be a bit tricky in entry level models, but move from SE trim to ES trim and you get the intuitive Honda Connect Touchscreen. The plastics inside the Jazz don’t appear cheap to the eye or the touch either.

The new Honda Jazz scored excellently in the Euro NCAP. It received a full five stars and it achieved great scores in all parts of the test. For adult occupancy it scored 93%, child occupancy scored 85%, pedestrian safety scored 73% and safety assist achieved 71%. In comparison with other cars in its class these scores are excellent. Available with the Jazz is; Intelligent Speed Limiter, Forward Collision Warning, High beam Support System, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning and a City Brake Active System.

The Jazz offers excellent space considering the category of car it falls under. There is a 20mm increase in space between the front and rear passengers in comparison with the second generation Jazz. The boot area offers 354 litres – which increases to 1314 litres with the back seats folded.
