GOLD LEAF IS NEW STANDARD

They electrified us once before (with the 280ZX!); but this new e-Leaf is shockingly “i-smart”:

One could be forgiven for looking down at the old Nissan Leaf – slightly dowdy with a possibly frumpy owner, off to walk the dog or lose the ‘’vehicle’’ in the local shopping mall car park. This new electric Nissan Leaf, though, is an entirely diffident proposition to its predecessors: it would even lend Germaine Greer some street cred (as if she needs it)! Some eclectic points – it has received an urgently needed streamlining – so it actually looks as good as Janet Street Porter, which isn’t bad. And it is no slouch, getting to the 60mph benchmark in a spookily silent circa 8.0 second sprint; so Mazda6 drivers won’t be too pleased when granny in the LEAF on the schoolrun overtakes them, in their “swish” 2.2 TD executive saloons. Also, there is something all cars will soon have: the near-miraculous “e-pedal”. The charge “range” is also an improvement for the world’s best-selling EV (310,000 sold world-wide, to date). Prices from €26K to €32K (including a €5000 government incentive). NB - don’t forget to factor: ZERO PETROL, ZERO EMMISSIONS PER ANNUM. Now, what’s stopping you?
