Road Tests | Volvo V90 Cross Country 2017 Review

This is the first time that we have driven this car in Ireland. The Volvo V90 CC is a beautiful off-road take of the new Volvo V90 estate. The Volvo V90 Cross Country is raised 65mm higher and has good off-road abilities. Daragh Ó Tuama had the Volvo V90 Cross Country on test drive for a week. He didn't get to tackle any major off-road courses, but from the small amount that he did do, he is happy that it is a capable machine - of course, it's no Discovery!

The Volvo V90 Cross Country is now on sale in Ireland. Our test model, a Volvo V90 Cross Country D5 POWERPULSE AWD comes in at €65,891, while the entry level Volvo V90 CC is set at €54,650 to the Irish market.

This car features Volvo's Pilot Assist (up to 130 km/h), and is very clever. It also has Volvo's Sensus Connectivity system. Our model cam with 18" alloy wheels, rear park assist, and much more. We do like the 8" Active TFT Crystal Driver's information display, and some of the technology is eCCellent. Navigating the touch screen does take a fair bit of getting used to though.
